My benefits were stolen off my EBT card. What can I do?

  1. Request a new card and PIN immediately. You can do this through the YourTexasBenefits mobile app, by phone at (800) 777-7328), or at a local benefits office.
  2. Your state requires you to go to your local benefits office to complete Form H1854, Affidavit for Unauthorized Use of Electronic Benefit Transfer benefits.
  3. Your state will review the information to determine your eligibility for replacement benefits within 2 weeks. Learn more.

What is EBT card skimming and phishing?

Skimming and phishing scams are on the rise. Scammers hide skimming devices on card machines to steal your EBT information and PIN as you swipe your card, or send fraudulent texts pretending to be the government.

Does Providers protect against EBT theft?

It is not possible for Providers to facilitate theft: we never save your EBT card number or PIN, and fully encrypt any data we do collect. We also never share or sell your information without your consent. To learn more about how we protect your data, please review our Privacy Policy.

This information was compiled by Providers from publicly available government websites. Please check in with your local office if you have questions.
