Big news, New Yorkers: you can now use your EBT food stamp (SNAP) benefits to buy groceries online if you live in one of the following areas…
If you live in New York City or parts of Long Island and Westchester, you can buy groceries online at Amazon now. (When you register your EBT card with Amazon, you’ll find out if your zip code is eligible for delivery.)
If you live near the ShopRite of Forest & Richmond on Staten Island, you can buy groceries online starting on 4/24. (When you register for a ShopRite from Home account, select the Forest & Richmond store to find out if they deliver to your address.)
If you live in Oneida or Schenectady County, you can buy groceries online from Walmart. The Schenectady Walmart is in Glenville and offers delivery and pick-up. The Oneida Walmart is in Rome and offers only pick-up.

Can anyone pay for groceries online with EBT?
For now, only some New Yorkers can use EBT to pay for groceries online.
Walmarts in several states accept online EBT orders, but you have to pick up and pay for the groceries in person.

Can I use EBT to pay for delivery and membership fees?
You can only use EBT to pay for groceries, but Amazon is waiving AmazonFresh and Prime Pantry membership fees for EBT card holders. The Walmart locations are waving all fees.
Can I still use EBT at Fresh Direct?
Yes, if you live in either of these Bronx zip codes: 10454 and 10455. Visit Fresh Direct for more information.
