Getting replacement food stamps during California's power outages (November, 2019)

November update:

If you already got replacement food stamps,

but then your food spoiled again because of another power outage,

you can apply for additional replacement food stamps. Just make sure you apply within 10 days of your food spoiling.

The deadline to apply is November 22nd.

You can apply for additional replacement benefits whether or not you live in one of the zip codes listed below.

To apply, bring this form to your local office.

You're eligible for replacement food stamps if your food spoiled because of power outages and you live in one of the zip codes listed below.

If you normally get food stamps from the 1st to the 9th of the month, you should have already received your replacement benefits. The benefit amount was 60% of the amount you normally receive.

If you normally get food stamps on the 10th of the month, you have to apply for replacement benefits. You can do this by visiting your local office.

Make sure to apply within 10 days of your food spoiling.
